    Interview with Voyage ATL Magazine


    Hi Attyya , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
    I was raised in SC by a single mother. Our family suffered the tragic loss of my father when I was much younger, so things were hard. He was murdered, so anytime you have to heal from death by homicide it is extremely hard. It takes a lot of therapy and healing to recover from the impact of that type of trauma and it was tough. We struggled, but we were always people of great faith. I left home at 17 and went on to college, earned a few degrees, but I always believed in hard work and I had a lot of determination. I taught middle and high school for over 15 years, but I knew there was so much more in me that I wanted to accomplish. My journey in entrepreneurship began in December of 2019 when I developed the concept for ATTYYA. For the past few years, I always dreamt of creating a brand, although I was a little fearful about getting started. I wanted to design a lasting brand that would offer luxurious products to all people. I began doing my research and really examining powerhouse beauty brands that I have always admired like Estee Lauder and L’Oreal Paris. As a teacher, I have always been a lover of luxury; however, it was not always affordable. I wanted to give the working class everyday woman and everyday man the opportunity to experience luxury that was suitable to their budget. ATTYYA brings out the best of everyone by giving each of us the confidence we need to feel beautiful. There is something here for everyone. I am in the process of developing brands owned by the ATTYYA organization, so we have been extremely busy over the past few months.

    I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
    Imagine developing a brand new company and then the world is suddenly hit with a pandemic. I believe difficult is an understatement to say the least when reflecting on our challenges when we first got started. We had a few setbacks such as financial hurdles and a few manufacturing delays which prevented us from opening when we first anticipated opening. Yet, the beautiful part about all of it was the perseverance and the teamwork. I never gave up. That has always been a mantra of mine, “to never give up, despite the circumstances.” I think that it is important that we learn from each of our obstacles. I certainly learned that plans change and it is very important to have many different routes to get to your destination.

    Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
    The ATTYYA Limited Co. is an exciting, innovative brand looking to bring an incredible new voice to the cosmetics and personal care industry. Our organization owns several brands that we are currently developing. We are a 100% woman owned minority beauty brand. We develop high-quality fine fragrances, make up, candles, room deodorizers, skincare and are in the process of developing classic Swiss made timepieces to bring our clients the luxury and opulence they deserve. Our organization is growing daily. In May, we opened an additional brand, Logan La Belle Lashes. We are adding to our line of high quality products and expanding our inventory to best fit the needs of our clients globally. To service our clients better, we have begun selling from major platforms such as Walmart.com and Amazon as well as our website. We take pride in supporting individual beauty and expressionism, diversity in beauty, product development that always meets our standard of excellence, and unequivocal customer satisfaction. We take customer satisfaction incredibly serious. In fact, we consider it our most important marker of success. Our high standards set us apart from other brands in the industry. We are excited about the direction we are going and the future of the ATTYYA Limited Co.

    We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
    I have many childhood memories and experiences that have shaped who I am as an individual. Family has always been an important factor of mine. My favorite childhood memory would have to be the time that my family and I traveled to Buffalo, New York to a Robinson family reunion. Every time I think about the story, I laugh. We were headed to the American side of Niagara Falls on a Saturday outing, but the bus driver surprisingly got lost. We somehow ended up in Ontario on the Canadian side of Niagra Falls. We were stopped immediately, our bus had to pull over, and we were forced to turn around. When the border patrol officers got on our bus, none of us had passports nor permission to be in Canada. We did not know that we had even crossed the Canadian border. To see the expressions on the older members of our family’s faces. when they heard that we were in Canada. Everyone was in shock. Their expressions were unforgettable and that was an experience I hold near and dear to my heart.
